Abstract
A certain modification [2] of the Barcelona Model (BM) which was introduced by LEE [1] to describe the be­haviour of concrete (or reinforced concrete) under cyclic or dynamic loading (at a high level) is presented. To verify the adaptation of this isotropic concrete model to masonry some laboratory and numerical experiments are being prepared at the Silesian University of Technology. The results of the first step of the numerical part of the research – a sensitivity analysis of the modified material model – are presented. Also a laboratory experiment (the uniaxial, cyclic compression) is numerically reconstructed.
