18th International Brick and Block Masonry Conference, University of Birmingham, UK
The International Brick and Block Masonry Conference is an international conference intended to attract representatives among masonry researchers and practitioners, masonry industries and building management authorities, construction professionals and educators. The conference will thus represent a unique platform for discussion, networking, sharing new ideas and gaining insights into trends, innovations and challenges related to masonry, in both research and building practice.
The IMS are hosting ‘A Celebration of Masonry‘ at The Exchange located on Birmingham’s historic Centenary Square. This will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the contribution of masonry to a resilient built environment and to meet likeminded international academics and professionals. It will also provide a relaxed environment to network and discuss the importance of masonry research and case studies, to illustrate the critically important role masonry must play in tacking the twin challenges of Climate Change and Building Safety. We hope you can join us!
11-12 November 2024 ~ SUBLime Conference ~ Madeira, Portugal
Sustainable Building Lime Applications via Circular Economy and Biometric Approaches (SUBLime) Conference on the topic of ‘Towards the next generation of sustainable masonry systems: Mortars, renders, plasters and other challenges’. Abstracts are due by 31st January 2024.

16-19 October 2024 ~ The Masonry Society Annual Meeting ~ Portland, Maine
TMS Annual Meeting featuring TMS committee meetings, educational sessions, tours and networking opportunities. The new Executive Director, Ann Guiberson will speak during the General Session on Thursday 17th October.

July 2026 ~ 11th International Masonry Conference
Uncertainties over the pandemic necessitated the postponement of the 11th International Masonry Conference which will now be held in July 2026.
2027 ~ 15th North American Masonry Conference
The NAMC is a forum for the exchange of scientific, engineering, architectural, construction, evaluation and repair information on masonry. The conference includes technical papers and sessions, panel discussions, and other methods of information exchange.
Proposals are now being accepted for the 15th NAMC, those interested should contact Phillip Samblanet; psamblanet@masonrysociety.org.
