The use of gypsum blocks for the implementation of the partition masonry walls of buildings has increased in recent years in Brazil, although research and developments are still new and restricted. This paper aims to develop the understanding of this technology and presents a case study research conducted on two building construction sites in different cities in Brazil. The waste of gypsum blocks and gypsum glue and labor productivity was evaluated. The results of the case study showed an average waste of gypsum blocks of 13.36% and 15.18%; unitary consumption and waste of gypsum glue of 1.36 kg/m² and 36.11%, respectively. The results of assemblers labour productivity were 0.99 Mh/m² (man hours per m2) and 0.97 Mh/m². As a contribution in this study area, the standard methodology used and the values obtained shall serve as the initial reference for the subsector of building construction.
