Abstract

Previously reported reloading and unloading curves of brick masonry tested under uniaxial cyclic compressive loadings are analysed. The brick masonry specimens were of dimensions 700 mm x 700 mm x 110 mm constructed with clay bricks of size 230 mm x 110 mm x 70 mm and 10 mm thick bed joint mortar in stretcher bond. Equations for reloading and unloading stress strain curves based on the experimental results have been proposed.
