Abstract

Thirty six panels were constructed in 1981 to monitor the corrosion performance of a ladder type bed joint reinforcement. Twelve panels were taken apart in 1983 to examine the reinforcement. Corrosion performance was assessed by visual examination and tensile tests but there was little correlation. The site was exposed with high levels of chloride and corrosion was highest near the weathered face. Future reports are to be produced in 1986 and 1991.
