Abstract

The E-modulus of mortar depends to a high degree on llie test method used for measuring it. Differences up to 1 : 10 for the same mortar are shown in the present paper. Values depend on the production method of the test specimens, the size of the test specimen as well as on the measurement method used. The relationship between results of measurements on discs and prisms of mortar, specimens cut from bed joints and 5 high brick prisms is given.
