Creep Tests on Loadbearing Masonry Frames

Abstract

The paper presents results from creep tests on five sub-frames made up from brick or concrete block masonry walls and concrete slabs and compares these results with those from eccentrically loaded walls in the context of Eurocode 6. It is concluded that the requirements of the Eurocode are quite probably too severe.
