I am contacting you as the current President of the Society. As you may be aware, last year we launched a Student Project awards scheme for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I am delighted to advise you that one PG award was made to a student from the University of Manchester and another (the Arnold Hendry Postgraduate Project Prize) was awarded to a student from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne.

Here are details of the 2015 scheme. I hope that you will forward this to any of your colleagues or anyone you know at a university to raise their awareness of the scheme and to encourage them to submit entries from any undergraduate and postgraduate students who are undertaking project work involving masonry.

Many thanks, in anticipation.
Best wishes,

Steve Garrity, FIMS,
